Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026 · Effective: when published
This Policy explains how the shift and sleep planning app handles information.
1. Controller and scope
This Policy describes data practices visible in the current version of Shift Sleep Planner (package ID: com.sleeplanner.sleep_planner). The app does not provide account creation or an app-publisher-operated user account server.

This Policy reflects the app code reviewed for this release. Store configuration, SDK settings, a published build, or services added later may change these practices. The publisher should keep this Policy and store disclosures aligned with actual releases and settings.
2. Information the app may handle
When you use relevant features, you may enter or create:
- Work and shift schedules: shift name, dates and times, shift type/status, repeating rotation, work domain and optional role/title, personal time constraints, and records of actual shifts.
- Sleep and rest information: sleep target, planned sleep and nap periods, manually entered sleep logs, daily self-ratings of energy and sleepiness, and a locally calculated result from the chronotype questionnaire.
- Preferences: language and theme, user-entered commute duration, pre- and post-shift buffers, minimum rest/sleep window, reminder settings, and onboarding completion.
- Import and calendar details: contents of ICS/CSV/PDF files you select and remembered CSV column mappings; if you use calendar-feed refresh, the HTTPS/webcal feed URL you enter and its last refresh time.
- Purchase information: when you buy, restore, or check Pro access, the store and RevenueCat SDK may handle transaction and verification data. The app configures RevenueCat with an anonymous app user ID; the reviewed app code does not send an email or name as an account profile. The purchase SDK is activated in builds where platform keys are configured.
The app is not designed to access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, health sensors, wearable measurements, or biometric data. Sleep logs and self-ratings could allow sensitive health-related inferences; enter them only as needed to use the features. Avoid entering identifying or health information about another person unless necessary and authorized.
3. Where and why information is processed
On your device
Shift, sleep, plan, and preference records are stored in the device's local application preferences and processed on-device to provide planning, calendar, statistics, widget, report, and reminder features. In the reviewed source code, we did not find an app-operated backend that uploads these records, an advertising SDK, or an analytics SDK. This does not describe data handled by the operating system or app store, or by services added in future versions.
The home-screen widget may keep selected upcoming-shift and next-step/sleep text in the device's widget storage so it can display that information. Consider this if other people can see your device or its widgets.
Notifications
If you enable reminders and grant the operating system permission, scheduled reminders such as shift start/end, wind-down, or caffeine timing are created locally on your device. You may decline permission or revoke it in system settings. Notification text may appear on your lock screen. The app does not deliver these notifications through an app-operated server.
Calendar feeds
If you save an ICS/webcal feed URL, the app stores it on your device and downloads its contents directly from the calendar server you specified over HTTPS. The request may expose your IP address and information in the feed URL, including an access token, to that calendar provider and ordinary network intermediaries. The app code does not separately send this URL to the app publisher. Keep tokenized calendar links private; your backup may contain the saved URL.
Files and sharing
The app can create JSON backups and CSV/PDF reports or ICS calendar files. You initiate export, backup, sharing, or opening a file in another app. The file provider, share target, cloud account, or calendar app you choose has its own privacy and retention practices; the app publisher does not control copies stored there. A JSON backup may include the app's data, such as schedules, sleep records, preferences, and a saved calendar-feed URL.
5. Retention, export, and deletion
Local app records remain on your device until you delete them in the app, use “Delete all my data,” or remove the app/device data. The in-app export feature lets you create a JSON copy. Importing a backup may replace current app data. You are responsible for deleting files you exported.
“Delete all my data” removes the app's own records and scheduled local notifications. It cannot delete store/RevenueCat transaction records, data held by your calendar provider, copies already exported, or copies maintained by operating-system or backup services. Contact those providers for requests about their records. Because the app has no account, it has no in-app account-closure process.
The app publisher does not operate a separate server backup for local app records. RevenueCat and stores retain transaction, tax, or dispute records according to their own legal obligations and policies.
6. Choices and legal rights
You can export and delete app data on your device and manage notification permission in system settings. Depending on your location, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact the email above. We may request reasonable information to verify and respond to a request.
People in Türkiye may exercise applicable rights under Law No. 6698 through the controller contact above. Where the GDPR or UK data protection law applies, statutory rights and the right to complain to a competent supervisory authority remain available. See the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The scope, exceptions, and request process depend on local law.
7. Security and children
Local app records are kept within the operating system's app storage area. We recommend using a device lock, keeping the device software current, and protecting exported backups. The app does not claim to apply separate password encryption to exported backups; anyone who can access an exported file may be able to read it. Calendar downloads and purchase services use their own network security; no method can guarantee absolute security.
The app is not directed to children and is not designed to knowingly collect children's personal information. Parents and guardians are responsible for children's use and information entered into the app.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when app features, services, or applicable law change. The latest text will be published on this page; significant changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel. The date above shows the latest revision.
