AuraSleep Privacy Policy

- AuraSleep listens through your microphone only while you are tracking a night. Sound is analysed on your phone. Short clips (for example snoring or sleep talking) are saved only on your phone.
- We do not run servers that receive your recordings or sleep data, and there is no account to create.
- Recordings leave your phone only if you choose to share or export them.
- The free version shows ads (Google AdMob). We use Google Firebase Analytics for app statistics and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first.
- You can delete your data at any time in the app (Settings → Data & backup → Delete all sleep data) or by uninstalling the app.
- AuraSleep is a wellness app, not a medical device.
1. Who is responsible
AuraSleep (the "App") is published by AuraSleep, 75. yil mah sultangazi istanbul ("we", "us"). We are the controller for the limited personal data described in this policy. Contact: serqanaktas@gmail.com.
2. Data that stays on your device
The following data is created and stored only in the App's private storage on your phone. We cannot see it.

Device backup. If you have turned on Android backup for your Google account, Android may include the App's database and settings in your encrypted device backup, which is stored by Google under your account. Audio clips and diagnostic logs are excluded from cloud backup. When you move to a new phone with a direct device-to-device transfer, clips may be transferred too. This is controlled by you in your phone's settings.
3. Data you choose to share
When you use "Share" or "Export" (for example a clip, a PDF or CSV report or a summary card), the file is handed to the app you pick (messaging app, e-mail, cloud drive, etc.). From then on, the privacy policy of that app applies. We do not receive a copy.

Privacy policies: Google (including how Google uses data from apps that use its services), Firebase, RevenueCat, Jamendo.
Your ad choices. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you can change or withdraw your consent at any time in Settings → About → Ad privacy options. On any Android phone you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording varies by device). Pro subscribers do not see ads and the ad SDK is not started for them.
AI features. Optional AI-generated insights are disabled in the current version and no data is sent to any AI service. If we enable them in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your permission first.
5. What we do not do
- We do not upload your recordings or sleep data to our own servers.
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
- We do not use your recordings for advertising or to train AI models.
- We do not ask for your name, e-mail address, contacts, photos or precise location.
6. Permissions the App asks for

7. How long data is kept
- On your device: until you delete it. Clips are trimmed automatically and can be deleted automatically after a period you choose. Settings → Data & backup → Delete all sleep data removes sleep history, recordings, clip labels, favourites, generated exports and the local event log. Uninstalling the App deletes everything stored by the App on the phone.
- Firebase Analytics: event data is kept for the retention period configured in our Google Analytics property, maximum 14 months).
- AdMob: according to Google's retention policies.
- RevenueCat: for as long as needed to provide your subscription and to meet legal (for example tax) obligations.
8. Your rights
EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR / FADP)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Because your sleep data and recordings are only on your device, you can view, export (CSV/PDF) and delete them yourself in the App. For data held by the services in section 4, e-mail us at serqanaktas@gmail.com; we will help you within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
United States (including California CCPA/CPRA and other state laws)
In the last 12 months the App has disclosed the following categories through the services in section 4: identifiers (advertising ID, app-instance ID, IP address), internet or other electronic network activity (app and ad interactions), commercial information (subscription status) and approximate geolocation derived from IP. We do not sell personal information for money. Disclosure of the advertising ID to Google for personalised ads may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out by deleting or resetting your advertising ID in your phone's settings, by choosing non-personalised ads where offered in the App, or by e-mailing us. You have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
9. Children
AuraSleep is not directed to children. It is not intended for anyone under 13 (in the United States) or under 16 (in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that involved their personal data, contact us and we will help delete it.
10. Not a medical device
AuraSleep is intended for general wellness and information only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, including sleep apnoea. Talk to a doctor if you are worried about your sleep or breathing.
11. International transfers and security
Google and RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Data in transit to these services is encrypted (HTTPS). Data on your device is protected by your phone's app sandbox and device encryption; keep your phone locked with a PIN or biometrics.
12. Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add features. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will tell you in the App about important changes and ask for consent again where the law requires it.
